Future
Plans
Our
plans for the immediate future revolve around the 3Es –
Education, Employment and Empowerment – for the children,
youth and women in our area.
We
have already employed several women living in the Manoharpukur
bustee area for our own activities at Disha.
Along
with our embroidery section we have now started making paper
bags as per the orders received. These are made by some of
the mothers of the children who come to Disha. Paper bag making
not only empowers the women but is also our contribution towards
saving the environment by helping not to use plastics.
We
are also considering other self employment opportunities for
them.
